How it works

Type a number. Press call.

It works like the phone app you already know, except it runs in a browser tab with no SIM and nothing to install.

  1. 01

    Type the number

Use the keypad or paste a number, pick the country, and the exact per minute rate appears before you dial. No surprise fees and no rounding you cannot see.

  2. 02

    Press call

Your browser places the call over the internet and it rings like any normal phone. New accounts get $0.25 of free trial credit, so your first few minutes cost nothing and there is no card required to try it.

  3. 03

Talk, and only pay for the minutes you use

The audio is clear, the full keypad stays on screen for phone menus and extensions, and billing is by the minute from $0.01. Hang up and you are charged for exactly the time you talked, nothing more.

No contract, no monthly fee, no minimum. Load a little credit when you want to and call whoever you need to reach.

Common questions

The things you'd wonder about before making a call.

Is it free to call a phone number?
Browser-to-browser voice and video calls are always free. Calling a real phone number is the paid part: new accounts get a $0.25 trial credit to test the line, then it's pay-as-you-go from $0.01/min with no subscription. You sign up with an email; the person you call needs nothing.
Do I need to install anything or make an account?
Nothing to install. The call runs entirely in your browser tab using your microphone, on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. You do need a quick email sign-up to claim your $0.25 trial credit and place phone calls, but the person you call needs nothing.
What number shows up as the caller ID?
The call is placed from our VoIP number. The person you're calling will see a FreeCallMe number, similar to calling from Skype or Google Voice.
Is there a time limit on calls?
There's no arbitrary 40-minute cutoff like some video tools impose. A call runs as long as you have credit, and it ends cleanly when your balance reaches zero, so you can never overspend.
Which countries can I call?
Over 220 countries and territories. That includes the US and Canada, the UK, India, Mexico, the Philippines, Nigeria, Brazil, and most of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The country dropdown in the dialer is the live list, and the per-minute rate is shown before you dial.
