Teach online without the tech support.
Send a link, the student clicks, the lesson starts. No Zoom signups, no Meet logins, no "can you hear me?" for the first ten minutes.
A free private room for two. Open the link, hit join. No waiting room, no sign in.
Works on any laptop, tablet, or phone · Nothing for students or parents to install
Why it fits
The friction other tools force on you, gone.
Parents don't need an account
A 7-year-old's parent shouldn't have to make a Google account so their kid can do math. With FreeCallMe they just tap the link.
No 40-minute cutoff
Free Zoom kicks you out at 40 minutes. FreeCallMe doesn't. Run a full hour or a two-hour SAT prep block, with no timer and no upgrade prompt.
One link per student
Generate a unique link for each student or class. Keep them in your Notion, calendar, or LMS. Pro users get permanent named rooms in a dashboard so you never lose a link.
Private by default
Calls are peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted. We don't record, transcribe, or store anything from the lesson.
Group sessions, up to 20
Running a small group or a study circle? One group link. Everyone joins, no host required.
Free, actually
No trial that becomes a subscription. No credit card. If you tutor on the side, you don't need another $15/month line item.
The flow
How you'd use it
A realistic flow, start to finish, no surprises.
- 01
Generate a room link
One click on this page. Pick private for 1-on-1, group for a class.
- 02
Paste it where the student is
iMessage, WhatsApp, email, your scheduling tool, anywhere they can click.
- 03
Both of you open the link
Browser asks for camera/mic permission once. You're in.
- 04
Teach. Close the tab.
No upload, no recording you have to delete later. The room stops existing.
Questions worth asking
The stuff people in your spot usually want to know.
- Do my students need to sign up?
- No. They click the link you send and grant camera/microphone permission in their browser. That's the whole onboarding.
- Will it work on a student's school Chromebook?
- Yes, as long as the school doesn't block camera access in Chrome. There's nothing to install, so most managed devices work out of the box.
- Is there a time limit on lessons?
- No. Unlike free Zoom, calls don't cut off at 40 minutes. Run as long as the lesson needs.
- Can I record the lesson?
- FreeCallMe doesn't record. If a student or parent wants a recording, they can use their device's built-in screen recorder with consent, but nothing is captured on our end.
- Can I screen share my whiteboard or slides?
- Yes, screen sharing works the same as any modern call. Share a tab, a window, or your whole screen.
- Are there ads in the call room?
- The free plan shows occasional ads in the room. FreeCallMe Pro ($14/month) removes ads entirely and lets you display your own name and logo, which is handy if parents see the room before you join.
- What about COPPA / under-13 students?
- We don't collect any account info from joiners, so there's nothing for a child to sign up to. Parents and tutors should still follow their local rules on consent and supervision.
