FreeCallMe

Delete your account

FreeCallMe is FreeCallMe, a sole proprietorship operated by John Patino, operating in Maryland, United States. You can delete your account and the data attached to it at any time, from inside the app or by email.

In the app, in five taps

  1. Open the FreeCallMe app.
  2. Go to the Account tab.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  5. Type DELETE and confirm.

The deletion happens immediately. Nothing is queued and nothing needs our approval.

If you no longer have the app

Email john@freecallme.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We need the request to come from that address so we can confirm it is you. We complete it within 30 days and reply when it is done.

What is deleted

  • Your profile and your name
  • Your sign-in and your email address
  • Your call history
  • Your contacts
  • Your text messages, sent and received
  • Your voicemail recordings and transcripts
  • Your rented phone number, which is released immediately and returns to the pool
  • Your push notification registrations
  • Any logo you uploaded and any custom domain you added

None of it can be restored afterwards, by you or by us. There is no undo window.

Your calling credit is forfeited

Any calling credit left on the account is lost when you delete it and is not refunded. If you have a balance you care about, spend it or contact support before deleting.

Deleting does not cancel a subscription

If you pay for a FreeCallMe number through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your account does not cancel that subscription. Apple and Google own that cancellation and we cannot do it for you. Cancel it yourself first:

What we keep, and why

Two things outlive the account. Neither contains your name, and neither can be used to contact you.

Payment and transaction records. Amounts and dates of purchases, kept for seven years because tax and accounting law requires it. These do not include your address.

An anti-fraud record. A device identifier, the network address the account was created from, and a one-way hash of your email address. It exists so that an account suspended for abuse cannot be re-created simply by deleting it first. A hash cannot be reversed, so this record cannot be used to recover your address or to reach you. For accounts in good standing it is removed after 30 days, and it never prevents you from signing up again.

See the Privacy Policy for the full retention detail.
