Pay-as-you-go after the trial credit
When the $0.25 trial credit runs out, top up $3, $8, or $15. Or just walk away. Every number is priced from the live carrier rate, starting at $0.01/min. The US, Canada, UK, and Western Europe are among the cheapest, around $0.01 to $0.02/min; India is about $0.08. The exact rate is shown before you dial.
Encrypted by default
Audio is encrypted in transit between your browser and our edge using DTLS-SRTP, the same protocol Google Meet uses. We don't record calls or sell metadata to ad networks.

Anything with a microphone and a modern browser works. There's nothing to download, no extension to add, no app store account to deal with. Open the tab, allow your mic, dial.
Cancel by doing nothing
There's no subscription to unsubscribe from. Don't top up and the account stays dormant. Credit you've already bought never expires, so it's there if you come back next year.

- Is it really free to call international numbers?

- Which countries can I call for free?
- Over 220 countries and territories. That covers the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, plus India, Mexico, the Philippines, Nigeria, Brazil, and most of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. The country dropdown in the dialer above is the live list, so if a code exists you can almost certainly dial it.
- Why is this cheaper than my phone carrier's international rates?
- Carrier international pricing was set when long-haul circuit-switched lines were the only option, and most carriers never reset it. We route your call over the public internet to our edge, then hand it off to a local termination partner inside the destination country. That cuts out the legacy long-haul costs, which is why an international call costs us cents instead of dollars.
- Do I need a SIM card or my own phone number?
- Neither. The browser tab is the phone. The call goes out from a FreeCallMe VoIP number, which is what shows up on the recipient's caller ID. Your existing phone plan isn't touched. You don't add a line, install an eSIM, or change anything about your contract.
- Is the audio quality good enough for long conversations?
- For most people, yes. Often better than a regular international cellular call. We use the Opus codec end-to-end where the destination supports it, routed through Tier 1 VoIP carriers. The main quality variables are your own internet connection and the recipient's signal on their end. On home Wi-Fi or 4G/5G, it's HD voice.
- Are international calls private and secure?
- Audio between your browser and our edge is encrypted using DTLS-SRTP, the same protocol that secures Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. We don't record calls, don't store recordings, and don't share call content with anyone. Minimal metadata is kept for billing and abuse prevention.
- Can I see what each minute costs before I dial?
- Yes. The per-minute rate for the country you've selected is shown in the dialer before the call connects. Minutes round up to the next whole minute, and the call ends automatically when your balance hits zero, so there's no way to overspend.
- Do I need to download anything?
- No. Everything runs inside the browser tab. No installer, no extension, no app, no companion software. Open this page, allow microphone access once, and you're ready to dial.
- What happens if my internet drops mid-call?
- The call ends cleanly and you're only billed for the minutes that actually connected. We don't charge a connection fee or padding for dropped calls.
- Does the recipient need a FreeCallMe account?
- No. That's the whole point. They receive your call as a regular phone call on their landline or mobile. They don't need to install anything, sign up, or know what VoIP is.
